The Problem
Most vocabulary apps hand learners a static word list and hope they come back. Retention collapses because there is no science behind the schedule and no adaptation to the learner. RedGobble set out to build a vocabulary app built on spaced repetition — showing words right before they are forgotten — and on AI that adapts each session to the learner's weak areas.
Research & Discovery
How we validated the problem and shaped the approach before building.
Reviewed the cognitive science of spaced repetition and retrieval practice to shape the review scheduler.
Studied retention curves: when learners are re-tested at the right intervals, long-term recall improves dramatically.

Architecture
Wordique is a Flutter mobile app with an adaptive learning core on the backend. A spaced-repetition scheduler determines when each word is reviewed; an AI scoring layer adapts lesson difficulty in real time based on each learner's error patterns, reinforcing weak areas before they decay. Progress tracking gives learners visible, measurable improvement that sustains the daily habit.
